Floyd H. Baldwin, SIOR and Drew C. Addison, SIOR recently attended the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) Southeastern Regional Conference in Chattanooga, TN.
Here are a few things we wanted to pass along from the event:
- Inflation is starting to slow down, largely due to energy costs lowering by approximately 12.5% since 2022 (Sage Economics).
- Cost of capital and lead times on materials continue to slow development, i.e. switchboards for electrical can take anywhere from 52-60 weeks
- The Southeast is driving the majority of activity nationwide with the ports and labor in the SE Region being major drivers.
